CONSTRUCTION OVERSIGHT FOR AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

Polytechnique staff oversaw construction activities while the Terminal C, Parking Structure C, South RON, Maintenance Building, and central utility plant were built. The team attended construction meetings; conducted inspections; documented progress in Unifier; compiled waste data; collected stormwater, soil, and air samples; provided transportation and disposal for hazardous building materials; reviewed water quality management plans; uploaded documents to Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS); responded to spills; provided training; reviewed contracts and leases; and revised plans and maps.

Our team members were an extension of John Wayne Airport's staff and helped maintain compliance and avoid potential construction delays, and kept the Airport Environmental Engineer informed.
